Education resources for the Royal Edinburgh site

Education Centre at REH

We do not have a library at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital but we do have:

1) a Post Graduate Resource Room which contains 4 computers. This room is based on the ground floor of the Andrew Duncan Clinic, Royal Edinburgh Hospital.

2) a Tutorial Room in the Royal Edinburgh Building.

These facilities are for private reading, studying and educational meetings. They each contain a large VC-equipped TV for remote attendance at the weekly case conference. Generally, they should not be used for clinical work and no clinical notes should be left in the rooms.

Future Plans

Comiston Ward has been obtained by the Medical Education Directorate to house a new Simulation and Education Centre within the REH site. This new centre will house Simulation rooms, debrief rooms, offices for Simulation and Medical Education staff.
