Goran Zangana is originally from Kurdistan and undertook his initial medical training and practice in Iraq. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and currently is an acting consultant in acute and general medicine in NHS Lothian. Goran was a Fulbright Fellow in the USA doing a master's in health policy while doing his United States Medical License Exams (USMLE). He did a PhD in Global Health at the University of Edinburgh. He is a member of the board of directors of Health Systems Global. Goran is an Editorial Board Member of the Social Science Medicine Journal - Health Systems.
