Simulation in action amplifies the learning experience in Lothian
Simulation
Simulation is a technique, not a technology, of safely replicating 'real life' skills, drills, and experiences in an effort to realistically rehearse and train in an environment that is safe for both our patients and our learners.
NHS Lothian is proud to support simulation across the Health Board with both infrastructure and programmes that promote safety and individual and team proficiency across our departments in Edinburgh and Livingston.
Our vision is to see and support simulation based education in every acute department in Lothian.
See our NHS Lothian Simulation Strategy below.
